I'm pretty sure the striping is caused by the swing blades retracting somewhat as the deck clogs with clippings. Use TCU15881 (for the 60” deck) high-lift blades.I have just under 2 acres of grass right now (hydroseeding again in the fall another 3/4 acre), so 2 weeks ago I cut it with the original blades after sharpening them. Results were as expected- lots of long grass discharged, not a great cut. I cleaned under the deck and installed Meg-Mo blades, then cut about a week later.120. And if you play the cards right you can bale it or have it baled. Around here people will cut and bale your pasture or yard for you as long as they can have the hay. I don't complain about that..
