Rebalancing Blog looks pretty good, but don't neglect the Karil's Crossbow please. Karils Crossbow is a pretty neat weapon that could fit snugly into the range meta. It's slightly better than a magic shortbow with rune arrows, and obtaining it for ironmen isn't too difficult (ammo included, there's an NPC shop). Compared to a magic shortbow (i) with amethyst arrows (the best arrows it can use) karils crossbow/bolt racks have 9 higher attack bonus, same range strength as amethyst arrows, a longer attack range, and same attack speed; so its already a slightly better weapon for about same cost (55 per bolt rack vs [360*0.2] per arrow with assembler, add 6gp/shot for repair cost for just crossbow, or 30gp ... I used to consistently get 2 kill trips with karils and a blessed coif, with elite void I scarcely get 2 kill trips and kill times overall seem way slower. I have ornate pool. The main use for Karils is Magic Defence and I believe it is the strongest Magic Defence armor without a Melee Attack negative, which is why you might see it used more for Melee than for Ranged.Kbow is 106gp per shot, blowpipe is 77gp per shot and 1/5 chance of breaking a dart. So 77gp + 20% of the price of whatever dart you're using, with mith = 11.8+77 = 89gp per shot. With the new fbow Karil’s is mostly only useful for mage defense during kree chinning or melee slayer. It’s always good mage defense but it’s okay to skip. void bottoms are better mage defense than god d’hide by +1 or +2 and if elite it has more prayer.
